Job Description:
The Westchester Educational Opportunity Center (WEOC), a division of Westchester Community College, is seeking experienced, energetic, innovative, results oriented professionals to join its team. Located in Yonkers, NY, this non-traditional adult education institution provides tuition-free academic and vocational training to eligible underserved adults seeking to develop basic academic and vocational skills competencies and credentials needed for enrollment in college and/or entry into the workforce.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Adjunct Faculty/CNA & HHA will supervise patient care provided by CNA and HHA students (usually 6 to 8 students in a group) while they complete their clinical rotation in nursing homes and/or assisted living facilities. The incumbent will coordinate with clinicians at the clinical site on student/patient assignments, teach students how to perform duties/skills in the clinical site, facilitate the development of critical thinking, and be available in the clinical site for student questions. The incumbent will also evaluate students' clinical work and provide written and verbal feedback.
Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidates must possess a minimum of a Master's Degree in Nursing, a license as an RN in the state of New York, and at least two years of clinical experience; excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required. The ability to establish a rapport with students and maintain an environment that supports learning and promotes student retention, experience teaching remotely, and experience using an LMS are also required. Must be available during daytime hours for clinical supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience teaching adult learners and at-risk populations strongly preferred. Organizational and detail-oriented skills also preferred.

POSITION EFFECTIVE: Spring 2023.
SALARY & BENEFITS: The hourly rate of pay is $82.57. No benefits. This position is fully grant funded.
